Christmas Favourites and Holiday Ideas

Anyone who knows me, knows how obsessed I am with Christmas. For me, the Holidays officially began on October 31st (Halloween is dead to me–don’t ask).

Today I’m sharing some last minute Holiday fun to make the most of the rest of December. Below you’ll find my absolute favourite gingerbread cookie recipe (they ended up so cute!), a quick gift guide for last minute Christmas shopping, my holiday Spotify playlist, a little festive to-do list, AND a project that that I’ve been working on to help give back! Happy Holidays!

To be honest, this is the first time I’ve baked cookies in over a year so I was pretty excited about these ones! I love the simple white icing but going nuts with sprinkles and food colouring is pretty great too. Click here for the recipe I swear by from Gimme Some Oven. Happy munching!

A Cooler Gift Guide:

If you’re still shopping around for the perfect gift for your bestie/mom/aunt/etc, why not give them an experience of something they will enjoy? Gift cards or tickets for a make-your-own lipstick lab appointment at Bite Beauty in Toronto or an appointment to try out floatation therapy at Float Toronto would make an amazing gift that’s a little more unique than your typical prepackaged gift basket from Lush.

For other great ideas, consider gifting some passes for a unique workout class like SurfSet or hot yoga classes (something much appreciated for the long winter to come).

My Holiday Playlist

This playlist has been playing non-stop in my house–whether I’m cooking, getting ready in the morning, or baking those cookies, these are my favourite holiday tunes I can’t stop listening to! Hehe

Add Someone Else to Your List

This season, I’ve been working on a little project with one of my good friends for a big cause that gives back called 6Kindness. 6Kindness is a collective of Toronto based influencers from bloggers to Instagrammers who want to make a difference using social media. Every year we pick an underdog charity to support and this year it is Emma’s Toy Drive in time for the Christmas season. To find out more about our little baby you can visit to see who’s involved and also maybe even donate to help make an underprivileged child’s Christmas morning a little bit awesome!
