Let’s face it, in today’s iPhone holding toddler world, if something’s not on Snapchat or Instagram, it never happened. We can apply that to fashion right?
When no one important saw your outfit so you wear it again the next day 💁🏻😩

Confessions of a Serial Outfit Repeater:
Today we’re talking about the dreaded repeated outfit. I am totally guilty of doing this all the time (hence Tweet), but let’s change that! Clothes are meant to be worn more than once and there’s a million ways you can re-wear something to create an entire new look altogether. So without further a do, here are my dos and don’ts for recycling outfits:
Swap your accessories
Inspired by the literal princess of repeating outfits, Kate Middleton, when it comes to recycling an outfit, it’s all about the accessories. Work with a basic staple piece and swap the shoes, jewellery, bag, and/or hat up. The same tight midi dress rocked on a Friday night can look great at the office too with a classic overcoat and sensible handbag.
Shop the Look
Play with makeup
Hair and makeup can transform your entire look so much that nobody will notice you’re wearing the same thing! You can totally rock an outfit twice in a row undetected—once with a chic up-do, and again with flowing long waves for example. Or add in a bold lip colour one day, then go for a smokey eye the next!
Wear more than twice in a row
Twice in a row is fine, but 3 days in a row is pushing it—and not just for style reasons! By now your clothes probably need a little washing.
Worry too much about it
Can you tell me what you had for breakfast, lunch, and dinner two days ago? Probably not. If you can’t remember details like that about your own life, others certainly won’t remember what another person other than themselves wore the day before. Most people are too focused on themselves and their own lives to even notice. Abiding by the “do” rules above, it’s almost guaranteed that you can get away with repeating an outfit in the same week or even two days in a row!
Have you ever worn the same outfit twice in a row? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
