I didn’t know what to expect when I met Ann Pirvu.
I’ve met her a couple of times briefly at The Stylist Box Suite (see my blog post about that here) getting styled for a TIFF red carpet event and the 2016 Canadian Screen Awards in March, but today I was about to dive a little deeper into the inspiring world of Ann. From afar I had only seen her floating around in glittering gowns at Academy Social cocktail parties, sitting front row at her favourite designer’s show at Toronto Fashion Week, and chatting up every Toronto celebrity known while getting her hair done for a red carpet event.
Today, at Jimmy’s Coffee downtown Toronto, Ann is wearing regular clothes, an all natural face, and a smile so bright you probably need sunglasses. The star of The Masked Saint, The Junction, Remedy TV series and Swearnet: The Movie is totally the opposite of her mean sorority queen character from her most recent film, Total Frat Movie, which hits theatres September 23, 2016.
In this podcast video interview, Ann talks passionately about letting go of your ego, dealing with industry pressure, the importance of having a morning routine, and supporting Canadian fashion. Take a look below! I promise you’ll learn something new and she’ll inspire you in ways you’d never expect.
