Toronto Date Ideas

Looking for fun things to do on a date or with your friends?

It’s winter time here in Canada, but that doesn’t mean you can’t go out and still have fun! This past weekend I took a mini vlogging adventure to the city to bring you this list of awesome Toronto date ideas for you and bae or a bunch of friends!

Barnsteiner’s – 1 Balmoral Ave, Toronto, ON M4V 3B9
Barnsteiner's Toronto Restaurant

This newly opened 2016 German restaurant is the perfect lunch spot. With its modern decor and bright atmosphere, Barnsteiner’s makes for an extremely pleasant dining experience. The service is warm and quick. Plus, the meal portion sizes will leave you satisfied–not stuffed.  Definitely order the veal schnitzel and the roasted cauliflower!

 Colette Grand Café – 550 Wellington St W, Toronto, ON M5V 2V5

Colette Grande Cafe Toronto

Feel like a Gossip Girl princess at Colette while you munch on macarons and tea surrounded by chic French decor. I went here on a weekday where they offer a cheese and salad bar but I would recommend going on a weekend for brunch instead for better menu options. Make sure you book a reservation far in advance though!

SPiN Toronto – 461 King St W, Toronto, ON M5V 1K4

Reserve a table at SPiN for a casual night of beers and ping pong! I didn’t expect to like this place, but who knew ping pong could be so fun? This venue is perfect for a casual no-pressure date and their prime location makes for a great pre-party with friends.

AGO Art Gallery of Ontario – 317 Dundas St W, Toronto, ON M5T 1G4

AGO Toronto

Get inspired and check out the super cool art at the AGO. The gallery makes for a super cute date and a great place to take those artsy Instagrams with your best friend! Wednesdays are free admission and Friday nights they offer drinks and music. Go for the art, stay for the wine.

St. Lawrence Market –  92-95 Front Street East, Toronto, ON M5E 1C3

St. Lawrence Market Toronto

The market is one of my favourite places for a date! Try new foods, take a cooking class, or pick up ingredients for an at-home dinner date night. If it involves food, it’s always a win in my books!

Painting Classes – 784 College St, Toronto, ON M6G 1C6

Express yo self at an art class! Get creative and take your date on a painting adventure. You don’t have to have any artistic background–they’ll teach you easy techniques to recreate awesome pieces you can hang up in your living room after.

Surfing Classes –  2481A Yonge St, Toronto, ON M4P 2H6

So we may not have a nearby ocean but that doesn’t mean you can’t go surfing in Toronto! Go with a friend, pretend it’s summer, and get a killer workout engaging your core and stabilizer muscles on top of surfboards!
