It’s a new year and I’ve decided to change up my beauty product routine and collection!
I’ve put together a list of my favourite new beauty essentials for makeup, hair, and body that I especially like for the winter time! Here are my top 2016 beauty essentials recommendations:
Body Moisturizers: Saje Barefoot Beauty Tingly Fresh Foot Butter and Sunset Glow Calming Gentle Body Butter
If you’re looking for a body lotion with natural ingredients, Saje’s body butter is your guy! Both the body and foot butters smell amazing and don’t leave you feeling greasy. I tend to go for thicker moisturizers during the dry winter time and I usually go for The Body Shop’s body butters but the Saje squeeze bottles are more convenient for on-the-go size and absorb a little better.
Cleanser: Evan Healy Tea Tree Gel Cleanser
This winter I wanted a cleanser that was less chemically harsh on my skin and I came across this one at a local health foods store. I have an oily t-zone that is prone to breakouts when I’m stressed so this tea tree formula is exactly what I need. It cleans well without drying out my skin and the tea tree oil is great for preventing and treating pimples. I give this cleanser a 4.5/5!
Hand Cream: The Body Shop Absinthe Purifying Hand Cream
Don’t get me wrong, I still love The Body Shop’s number one Hemp Hand Protector but recently for winter I’ve been really into their absinthe based hand cream. The scent is so fresh, cooling, and wintry; it just wakes you right up. Psst! You can save on The Body Shop with a coupon from me right here 🙂
Blush Palette: Forever 21 Love & Beauty Professional Blush Palette
This may come as a total surprise but I absolutely love and recommend Forever 21’s beauty brand blush palette. This is probably the cheapest palette you’ll ever come across ($20!!!!) but the quality is unexpectedly good. I love the variety of shades it comes with including some bronzers and highlighters. The colour diversity makes it fun to change up my look and it stays on for quite a long time!
Hair Product: John Masters Organics Green Tea & Calendula Leave-In Conditioning Mist
I’m usually not a hair product person and can’t be bothered to style my hair everyday but this product leaves my hair soft, healthy and shiny without weight it down. I just spray a bit in when it’s damp before brushing it out or when it’s dry and my hair needs a little life. Plus I love the natural ingredients in it and it makes my hair smell amazing.
